Bea was raised alongside her sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and former professional racer. Their parents were both obsessed with horses and racing. In her youth Bea was an assistant tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a career and instead was a performer.
